Campaign Statement and Resume for Mandy-Rae Cruickshank
Hello members,
I have been involved in CAFA since its formation in 2000. I am a founding member and have held the Treasurer’s position on the board since its formation. It has been great to be able to be on the front lines of the creation and development of CAFA and the sport of freediving in Canada and I hope to continue to aid in it’s future development.
If elected to the board again this year my goals are to help make sure that the upcoming 2004 AIDA World Championships are a huge success as well as to help further develop training programs, and promote the overall development and promotion of Canadian freediving and CAFA.
The following is a rundown of why you should vote for me:
- 2000- Became a CAFA founding member
- 2000- Became one of the first 3 board members as Secretary/Treasurer
- Over 8 years experience in the dive industry in Canada (PADI Course Director)
- 3 time Team Canada member
- 3 Time World Record Holder
- Have worked teaching freediving clinics for the past 2 years in Canada
- Have taught clinics with Performance Freediving team in Canada and the USA
- Have a very strong passion for this sport and want very much to see it develop into a well recognized sport not only through Canada but throughout the world. I want freediving to be a household name.
